If you want to improve your shooting skills, you need to make and follow a deliberate plan. Here are ten tips that will provide structure to your skill development and practice. Follow these tips and notice the improvement in your shooting.

Before you dry fire, make sure that

you are following safety protocols:

1. Unload your gun.

2. Check again to make sure your gun is

not loaded.

3. Did I mention, confirm that your gun is

not loaded?

4. Remove all live ammunition from the dry

fire area.

5. Make sure you have a safe direction

to point the gun during your dry fire

practice.

In April 2016, the Province will introduce a new online system that will improve the overall efficiency of hunter services. Initially the online service will be for Limited Entry Hunting (LEH) applications.

The BC Hunting online system will give you instant access to a range of products and services. In April, hunters will be able to apply online for Limited Entry Hunting (LEH). The draws will follow the same rules as before, but you’ll be able to apply from home, any time of day, and track your application(s) in real time.

In the future, the system will integrate a range of online services for hunters, including licensing.

POSTED ON 03/21/2016 BY JERRY JONES photoI try not to allow sarcasm into my writings.  I will try not to today, but can make no promises.  Sometimes, you read things that are just so dumb, the sarcasm writes itself.Recently, I have read some writings from police administrators, police trainers, and musings in the media in reference to the “21 Foot Rule”.  To put everyone in the readership on a level playing field in our readership, this “21 Foot Rule” is what most of us also know as the Tueller Drill.  In the early 1980’s, Sgt Dennis Tueller conducted studies involving how quickly a subject armed with a knife could cover a given distance, before an officer could react, draw and fire effectively at the knife wielding attacker.
