#PSA: The problem with sending a novice to a range with the advice of "shoot a lot of guns and find one you like" is that A: there are a lot of crap guns. And B: it is like sending someone to a track and telling them to drive a lot of cars and pick one they like. At the track, a Vette or a Miata are going to seem like perfect choices... But, When you had to commute, move kids, bring home groceries, deal with weather, other traffic and the rules of the road, there are MuCH better choices for most people. Gun ranges are tracks...
