With the recent terrorist attack in Orlando following a string of shootings involving the AR-15 rifle, many media outlets have jumped on the notion that the AR-15s status as a “military style” or “assault” rifle precludes any practical usage, and as such should be enough to warrant its prohibition both in the USA and Canada. Intro
Snipers are trained to see patterns and since I became a sniper instructor in 1985, I’ve noticed that when it comes to the long-range rifle marksmanship part of the instruction that there are 5 questions I keep getting from students over the years. And this includes both military and police students.
They are:
Does the near or far wind have a greater effect on my bullet?
What effect does the rotation of the Earth have on my bullet?
What effect does spindrift have on my bullet?
What effect does hitting a raindrop have on my shot?

The Pistole Parabellum 1908—or Parabellum-Pistole (Pistol Parabellum)—is a toggle-locked recoil-operated semi-automatic pistol. The design was patented by Georg J. Luger in 1898 and produced by German arms manufacturer Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken (DWM) starting in 1900 with other manufacturers such as W+F Bern, Krieghoff, Simson, Mauser and Vickers; it was an evolution of the 1893 Hugo Borchardt–designed C-93. The first Parabellum pistol was adopted by the Swiss army in May 1900. In German Army service, it was succeeded and partly replaced by the Walther P38 in caliber 9×19mm Parabellum.

As I attempted to explain in our last video, learning to master the double action/single action trigger is not nearly as difficult as the prevailing wisdom would suggest. However, figuring out the nuances of all the different traditional double action pistol designs can be a challenge. Some have decocking levers, others have safety levers, and many designs even have both. You don’t necessarily have to know how they all work in order to shoot one well, but if you’re in the market for a double action pistol, it’s helpful to have a general idea of the basics types so you can pick one that suits your preferences.
